The Association was founded in 1964 under the name of Istanbul Child Health Association and was recognized by the State as an "institution for the welfare of the public" that same year. The Association was founded to contribute to the health and welfare of children.

To be able to conduct activities in places outside of Istanbul, the name of the Association was changed to Child Health Association (Cocuk Sagligi Dernegi) in year 2000.
